How Worship Ministries Works WorshipWe are here to encourage everyone to surrender their lives to the leadership of Jesus Christ and to exalt and praise Him as their Lord! When the congregation comes to one of the worship services, it is our intention for them to: - Experience the joy of being in God’s presence.
- Understand and respect God’s holiness
- Be prepared and open to hear the Word of God taught by our pastors.
We also want them to enjoy themselves and come back again! Sunday morning worship should be something that you look forward to. OutreachWe are here to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Lost people matter to God, and so they matter to us. Each service is designed to point people to salvation through Jesus. Our “Christmas Dessert Theater” and other events are also tools for reaching out to our whole community.. Community We are committed to turning our hearts toward each other to build healthy, loving relationships while we serve together in ministry. The “Worship Flock” includes all members of all teams and their families. We strive to support and encourage each member through prayer and caring as well as teaching and social events. How Can You Get Involved? Click Here to sign up for any of the ministries listed below. Worship Choir A fun and contemporary community of those who lead worship regularly in our services. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7-9 pm, September – November, and January – June. Choir is the best way to get immediately involved in Worship Ministries. Worship Team A group of gifted vocalists who serve as worship leaders and soloists for scheduled ministry. Auditions for new members are held annually. Praise Band/Orchestra A select group of instrumentalists of varying musical talents who serve the Lord in Sunday Services and for special musical events. We are always looking for additional gifted musicians. Sound Team Sound is an integral part of the Worship and teaching here at Northlake. Teams use diligence and excellence in technical abilities to serve the whole body. Training is available. Media Team This team creatively uses graphics and video to produce and execute presentation arts in all of our services. We need computer savvy individuals to present media in the most professional and Christ-honoring way possible. Drama Team The creative use of dramatic arts can reach and minister to people in very effective ways. This team of talented individuals produces and acts in short dramatic sketches that are used in many services and events. There are always opportunities for those who are interested in or experienced in drama. Stagecraft Team A team with a vision to enhance our Worship Center space. Those with gifts for design, lighting, props and fresh ideas are needed. Musical Production TeamThis is our team structure in action as we produce effective special events such as our “Christmas Dessert Theater” on the first two weekends of December each year. There are roles and tasks for people of all ages. |
