Northlake has set a goal to raise $30,400 between now and November 20th. This is will support the following IGL projects for two years:

(4) Women Regional Organizers $7,200
(2) Life Center Buildings $16,000
India has 1.2 BILLION people!
What can we do to reach them with Christ’s message of hope?
Barefoot Pastors commit themselves to start a new church in 15 villages by sharing the story of Jesus Christ, baptizing new believers, discipling and equipping the congregation to spread the Gospel with others. The pastor and his family live in one of the villages where he serves, and often has only his own feet to get him to the different villages he is serving in.
These village churches are established as small groups of believers join together, a church may be as small as 20 people in the smaller villages. The people work together to build a “prayer shed” until they can help raise funds to build a Life Center.
IGL helps support new pastors for their first 2 years, the goal is that they will be supported by the churches they’ve started after the 2 years. In 1992 IGL had 200 pastors. Today they have over 6,000 church planters! Their goal is to have 2,000 new pastors by 2020!
Women Regional Organizers are chosen on the basis of their leadership skills and spiritual depth. They travel to various churches in their region to conduct training programs and leadership development among women.
Life Center buildings are used as churches, daycares, schools, vocational training centers, medical outreach posts and community centers. Each church starts off with a ‘prayer shed’ and then raises part of the funds and provides the land for the Life Center to be built. In time, this place will become the life-blood of the whole village – truly, a light shining in a dark place!
